I just watched and listened to usability guru Steve Krug and information architecture expert Lou Rosenfeld in an archived cybercast from the Library of Congress doing an interactive usability and design review of the Library of Congress website. The webcast is an hour and forty minutes long played straight through. If you don't have that much time, LC has also made some shorter sections of the webcast available: Things to Look For (03:30) - Important Pages (01:10) - How Design Decisions are Made (01:27) - Home Page Comments (09:35). Steve is the author of Don't Make Me Think: A Common Sense Approach to Web Usability and Lou of Information Architecture for the World Wide Web. Take a look at the other offerings in the Luminary Lectures series.
