I don't know about all of you, but I am still wowed by the possibilities of space travel. I can remember when Neil Armstrong took that first step for man, and I still get a thrill when the space shuttle takes off and comes back safely. It's as close to magic as we'll ever experience, outside the covers of a Harry Potter book.
So when I read in Wired News that Voyager 1 has reached the final frontier of our solar system, I have to admit a chill ran down my back. How amazing is that? The littly guy has been truckin' out there for 26 years, and has traveled 8.7 BILLION miles! Holy smokes, is that something or what? Maybe that Star Trek movie plotline wasn't so far off after all. Read about Voyager's remarkable story here.
