We'll review the major hot button issues and trends in database licensing, including Open Access and Trusted Computers, Digital Rights Management and Fair Use Rights. We'll also get specific about user terms and conditions, including restrictive User Authentication and Confidentiality clauses. We'll discuss successful strategies for negotiating troublesome contract terms, offering real life solutions to common licensing situations. And finally, we'll take a brief look at new legislation and technologies that are changing the relationship between libraries, vendors and content.
