Alison McKee began working for the Contra Costa County Library in 2003 as a Library Assistant at the Kensington and San Pablo Libraries. She received her Master’s Degree in Library and Information Sciences from San Jose State University in June of 2006 at which time she became the Librarian at the Contra Costa County Juvenile Hall and Orin Allen Youth Rehabilitation Facility Libraries where she developed library services for incarcerated teens. In January of 2009, she accepted the position at the Hercules Library as the Senior Community Library Manager. In June of 2011 she became the manager of the Crockett and Rodeo Libraries in addition to the Hercules Library.Ms. McKee’s bachelor degree is from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music in Music Performance and she has a Certificate of Ornamental Horticulture from Merritt College. In her free time she loves to read, garden and cook.
