Roy Tennant has been training librarians in new technologies for over 20 years. His “Digital Libraries” column in Library Journal is widely read and cited, as are his books. One of his books, Crossing the Internet Threshold: An Instructional Handbook, was the first published about the Internet within the library profession. Mr. Tennant is sought after as a speaker by organizations and conferences the world over. His ability to explain technical topics simply was honored with the American Library Association's 2003 LITA/Library Hi Tech Award for Excellence in Communication for Continuing Education. He is a senior program officer for OCLC Research, a whitewater river guide, treehouse builder, and the father of twins.
