About Infopeople Training
Sharpen your professional skills by taking workshops through the California State Library's Infopeople Project! Infopeople training is open to all members of the California library community - academic, public, school, and special.
Infopeople Training:
- Is tailored to libraries' needs
- Is developed and presented by experienced library professionals
- Offers hands-on exercises based on actual library situations
- Supplies high-quality custom handout materials
- Accommodates varying levels of expertise
- Provides individual workstations for computer-based instruction
- Offers post-workshop assistance from instructors
Training is offered at locations throughout the state of California. Infopeople also offers online courses and webcasts, as well as special contract training. Training site scheduling restraints preclude the possibility of announcing specific dates and locations more than a few months in advance. Most courses have open registration, although a few recommend prerequisites. Infopeople charges a modest fee to assist in cost recovery. See our general information page for more details about Infopeople training.
After the conclusion of a workshop series, Infopeople makes the course materials available for use by libraries and other individuals. When using these materials, we ask that you give appropraite credit to the author(s).
