Eileen O'Shea

Eileen O'Shea has worked in the library world for more than 20 years. She spent 24 years working at the University of Southern California in positions ranging from library aide, to government documents specialist, to reference librarian. Over the past several years, her focus has centered on information technology and how it can best be used by individuals to enhance their lives, and by libraries to enhance their services.

Currently a co-owner of CEO Consulting, she provides technical support and advice for new computer users, sets up wireless networks, and designs and maintains websites. As an Infopeople consultant, she is the primary keeper of Infopeople's weblog, Infoblog, keeps an eye out for new, cool technologies, has also taught several courses, and generally does whatever needs doing.

Eileen received her MLS from UCLA with an emphasis in Information Technology. Along the way she has also worked as a recreation supervisor, a library clerk, and a waitress in a donut shop. When not working with computers, Eileen can be found surfing the web, writing in her personal weblog, reading Sue Grafton mysteries, and occasionally getting off her duff and going for a run or bike ride.

Eileen has taught 8 classes from 2005 through 2006.
