Leo MacLeod
As Entrepreneurial Manager of Multnomah County Library (Portland, Oregon), Leo MacLeod broke ground by installing the first Starbucks in a public library, installing a high-grossing retail store, developing innovative partnerships and sponsorships, selling educational videotapes, and renting space for after-hours events. Battle-tested and shock-proof, he has explored and evaluated dozens of ventures and knows the challenges of integrating entrepreneurship into libraries. Leo has worked in every sector of the economy, holding positions as an ad agency executive, professional fundraiser, freelance writer, and vacuum cleaner salesman. When he is not baking pies and bagels, he provides strategic marketing and new business consultation to libraries and professional services companies from his home in Portland, Oregon.
