Glen Gilbert
Glen Gilbert is the inaugural President and CEO of the Cascadia Region Green Building Council. Prior to CRGBC, Glen was President and CEO of the World Forestry Center, a nonprofit that includes a museum, a demonstration forest, and an international fellowship program. Glen was inaugural Executive Director during the Berkeley Public Library Foundation's $4.3 million capital campaign. Prior to that, he was Director of Development and Public Relations at Senior Net. Glen began his nonprofit career as Executive Director of the human rights organization Tibet Justice Center in the San Francisco Bay Area. After graduating from Harvard Law School in 1989, Glen was an attorney, a human rights consultant to the Tibetan government-in-exile in India, an Assistant Professor of Law in Prague, and Legislative Counsel to the Pacific Island nation of Palau in Micronesia. His law school thesis was on environmental dispute resolution and is published, in part, at 16 ELQ 803(1989).
