Classroom Location
Computer Lab: The lab is located on the Library's 1st floor. The main lab is 125. The library usually opens at 8 a.m. Enter the library from the corner of 4th and E. San Fernando Streets. Walk to the other end of the lobby. The lab is located on the right, opposite the security kiosk.
Meeting Room: The meeting room is located on the Library's 2nd floor. Take either the escalator or the elevator. If taking the elevator, take a left and go through the double-glass doors. If taking the escalator, the doors will be just ahead.
Parking
Parking garage is "Fourth Street Garage" located on Fourth Street and San Fernando. The easier entrance is on Fourth Street. Cost is $15 per day. Obtain ticket upon entering and pay via vending machine outside elevator. There are no in-and-out privileges.
Eating
Various restaurants within walking distance of library. Just a few: On Fourth, a Novel Cafe is located on the first floor of the library just as you come in. Togo's is on campus in the student union which also has a cafeteria. Along San Fernando are many small restaurants.
Driving Directions
Highway 101 (South or North): Take Highway 101 to the Highway 280 North interchange. Take Highway 280 North and follow the instructions below.
Highway 280 (South or North): From Highway 280, transfer to Highway 87 northbound and take the Santa Clara St./Downtown exit. Turn right on W. Santa Clara St. and continue east to S. Fourth St. Turn right onto S. Fourth St. and enter the Fourth St. Garage on the left. The library is at the intersection of Fourth and E. San Fernando Streets.
From South San Jose: Take Highway 87 North to the Santa Clara St./Downtown exit. Turn right on W. Santa Clara St. and continue east to S. Fourth St. Turn right onto S. Fourth St. and enter the Fourth St. Garage on the left.
From North San Jose: Take Highway 87 South to the Park St./San Carlos St. exit. Turn left onto Park St., left onto Almaden Blvd., then right onto W. Santa Clara St. Continue east to S. Fourth St. Turn right onto S. Fourth St. and enter the Fourth St. Garage on the left.
Public Transportation
Bus or Light Rail: Bus Route 22 and Route 64 stop on the corner of 4th and Santa Clara Streets. The library is a one-block walk to the South. Bus Route 63, Route 65, Route 72, Route 73, Route 81, Highway 17 Express and the DASH Shuttle stop in front of the library near the corner of 4th and San Fernando Streets. Bus Route 23, Route 66, Route 68, Route 72, Route 73, Route 82, Route 85, Route 180, Route 304, Route 305 and Light Rail stop on 1st or 2nd Street at the Paseo de San Antonio or Santa Clara Street stops. The library is a short two or three block walk to the East.
