Evaluation is something you do when you're done with a program, right? Wrong! Evaluation should be a part of the entire grant process, from planning and writing the proposal, to ongoing program improvement, and finally assessment after-the-fact. Evaluation especially needs to be part of your thinking while you are planning your project and writing your grant. The process is also applicable and useful for evaluating library programs when writing general reports and creating other documentation.
