What is XR, you ask? XR stands for extended reality which is an umbrella term for virtual, augmented and mixed reality 3D information / content.

This webinar will discuss plans for the first ever "XR Hack-A-Thon." We’ll tell you everything you need to know about the hack-a-thon: how it will be organized; who will take the lead; what collection we will be cataloging and how to catalog it; and how the group will turn this effort into fun that will help teach others! The XR Hack-A-Thon will join interested catalogers across locations to learn by doing in a day-long exercise wherein the group will collectively attempt to catalog over 1,000 records in one day.   If you’re interested in cataloging new and unusual formats join us – this event may be what you’ve been searching for!

Working together we will start a movement to get this very important content into WorldCat. Learn more and sign up for the hackathon here.

This webinar will be of interest to: catalogers and cataloging students.

Webinars are free of charge, you can pre-register by clicking on the Register Now button on this page. If you pre-registered you will receive an email with login link and a reminder email the day before the event.
