Amy Koester, MLS, is the Youth & Family Program Coordinator at the Skokie Public Library. She has been developing STEAM programs and services for youth for more than two years, and she blogs regularly about these and other library activities as The Show Me Librarian. Amy has also shared monthly STEAM program plans and ideas on the ALSC Blog and for The Library as Incubator Project. She has written articles on STEAM programs and services for School Library Journal and Children and Libraries.

Amy is active in youth services librarianship both online and in state and national associations. She is a Joint Chief of the Storytime Underground, a community focused on training and advocacy for storytime providers. She is also the blog manager for Little eLit, a think tank dedicated to the topic of young children, new media, and libraries. Amy served on the 2014 Newbery committee.
