Daisy Porter-Reynolds is Executive Director of the Aurora (IL) Public Library. She worked for San Jose Public Library for six years, most notably as Manager of Innovation, where she led the library's journey toward centralized programming. She worked with a team of staff, including her co-presenter Leslie Tanaka-Loza, to improve the quality and efficiency of SJPL's programs, and to make a heck of a lot of programs in a box. Daisy published a book this year about centralized programming called Streamlined Library Programming: How to Improve Services and Cut Costs. Other library jobs Daisy has held include Deputy Director of the Arlington Heights (IL) Memorial Library, Webmaster for the University of Illinois Library Science Library, Assistant Branch Manager at New Orleans Public Library, and Visiting Katrina Fellow at Northern Illinois University Libraries. Her non-library employment has included counting cash at an off-track betting facility, sorting Taste of Chicago food tickets, and fact-checking children's nonfiction books. She lives in Chicagoland with her husband, cat, and two dogs.
