Jack started working at the Berkeley Public Library in 2008, right after earning his MLIS from the University of Washington. For the last 5 years he has been split between two different branches, serving as teen librarian for two very different populations and offering programming both in and out of the library on pretty much a daily basis. Jack is a 2012 Eureka fellow, and his project – the Berkeley Comic Arts Festival – consisted of more than 30 individual events which reached children, teen, and adult comic book and graphic novel readers. Jack also served as the president of the President of BAYA: The Bay Area Young Adult Librarian group from 2010 to 2013, and co-hosts the podcast “In the Library With a Comic Book” with fellow Eurekan Amanda Jacobs Foust.
