Laura Baldassari-Hackstaff is a youth librarian at Douglas County Libraries in Colorado where she has worked for 14 years.  She developed and presents an 8-week early literacy class for children 24- to 36-months-old and their parents, as well as storytimes for babies and toddlers.   She is passionate about libraries serving all, and is co-chair of the Special Populations Interest Group for the Colorado Association of Libraries.  Laura is also a member of the Colorado Libraries for Early Literacy (CLEL) steering committee.  She received her MLIS from the University of Denver in 2011. Laura and her colleague Laura Olson's article on sensory storytime is published in the January/February 2014 issue of Public Libraries.  They have presented their program Sensory Storytime:  All differently-abled, All ages, All inclusive at the 2013 CLEL Conference and Public Libraries Association Conference in 2014.
