Traditional library services are in a state of flux. Services that were created 5, 10, or 15 years ago are being supplanted by new priorities. To keep up with changes in user needs and desires, information technology, and fiscal realities, libraries MUST be able to plan and manage projects quickly and effectively.

  • Do you have ideas for new or upgraded services but need help bringing them to life?
  • Are you tasked with finishing a library project on a short deadline?
  • Do you have a general idea of what you need to accomplish but need specific help getting started?

This workshop is for anyone who is beginning or continuing a library project and needs help planning and organizing the myriad of activities. Whether your library is retooling a beloved service or embarking on all new initiatives, this workshop will enable you to organize project goals, resources, and expectations for maximum efficiency and success.

Workshop Description: This one-day interactive workshop will provide basic project management and planning tips and techniques that can be applied to a variety of library situations.
