  1. Do I need to login to sign up for a class?
No, you can sign up for class like always, but you will need to login to complete the process: select the session of the workshop you want, then go to checkout. Enter your last name and email address, and leave the password field blank. You can then either create a profile or get a password reminder. In the new system, everyone who registers for a class with Infopeople has an account, and you need to access your account to cancel and review your registrations. Our new system also provides an easy way for us to store information (like your billing address and a record of all of the previous classes you have taken with Infopeople), which makes it easier for you to sign up for future workshops.
  2. Is the login page secure?
Yes, the registration system uses high-grade encryption (AES-256 256 bit) for all of its secure pages. You can read more about our website security by clicking on the little lock at the bottom of the web page once you have logged in.
  3. What is a profile?
A profile contains your name, email address, password, billing address, what type of library you are associated with, and most importantly, the profile holds a complete record of all of your past registrations (since 2002), including confirmed, cancelled, and wait-listed registrations.
  4. Where is my profile?
To get to your profile you must first login. You will see your name in the upper right corner. Click on your name. That's it.
  5. I have registered for a class in the past, but I don't remember what email address I used. What should I do?
Create a new profile, then contact ipweb@infopeople.org. We will try to find your old email address and merge the data.
  6. I have registered for a class in the past, but the email address I used no longer exists, so I can't get a reminder. What should I do?
Create a new profile, then contact ipweb@infopeople.org. We will try to find your old email address and merge the data.
  7. Can I view all of my previous registrations from my profile?
Yes, you can. We have imported all registration data since 2002 into our new database, so if you have taken a class from us in the past we have made every effort to move your data over. If you can't find your email address in our database, create a new profile, then contact ipweb@infopeople.org. We will try to find your old email address and merge the data.
  8. Can I change my password?
Yes, you can update or change your password from your profile.
  9. Help, I forgot my password! What should I do?
If you forget your password, just click on the login link in the upper right corner of any page, then click the link to Forgot Password, type in your last name and email address, and your password will be emailed to you. We do this for security reasons, so people can't "hijack" your user name. If you still have problems, contact ipweb@infopeople.org, and we can reset it for you.
  10. My email address has changed. Can I update it in my profile?
Yes, in your profile you can update your email address, your billing address, and your library type.
  11. Can other people sign me up for classes?
Not unless it is a bulk registration that is being handled by the Infopeople Project Assistant or you are part of an organization where there is one person or a department that does all the registrations for the group. In that case the person doing the registrations should contact the Infopeople Project Assistant for more information (email address and phone in footer). You should register for your own classes, so you can view and track your registrations from your personal profile.
  12. Can I update my profile when checking out?
Yes, you can update your personal information, billing address, and library type. However, you can't update your password while checking out.
  13. How can I tell if there is anything in my shopping cart?
You will see a shopping cart and the words "cart" and "checkout" in the upper right corner under your name. You will also see a little shopping cart icon in the upper left corner of the page.
  14. Do you have a step-by-step cheat sheet for creating a profile?
Yes, we do. Click here to view it.
