Green design should not be restricted by a project size or budget. Any library can and should be built and operated sustainably. Simple techniques, materials and operational strategies can limit expenses, reduce resource and energy use, provide improved indoor air quality, reduce maintenance costs and provide a safe, clean and sustainable library environment.
