Demonstrating Library Impact with Data
An Infopeople Webinar
Start Time: Pacific - 12 Noon, Mountain - 1 PM, Central - 2 PM, Eastern - 3 PM
Presenter: Amanda Standerfer
Are you a library leader who wants to demonstrate the impact that your library programs and services have in your community? Would you like to collect and use data to support your stories?
In this hour-long webinar, you’ll learn how to develop and implement an outcomes-based evaluation framework that is easy to manage and makes sense for your library. You’ll get the tools to design a logic model that will guide your data collection and set targets to show your success and inform learning. After attending this webinar, you’ll feel confident that you can use evaluation to improve your programs and services and report on impact in your community.
At the end of this one-hour webinar, participants will be able to:
- Describe why evaluation is important and be familiar with the different components of an evaluation framework.
- Build a logic model for evaluating a program or service.
- Use evaluation data to communicate impact.
- Use evaluation data to make changes to programs/services.
This webinar is part of the Data Informed Public Libraries (DIPL) initiative that is being sponsored by the California State Library and implemented by Infopeople. This project is supported in part by the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act.
