In addition to our annually scheduled webinars and courses, Infopeople also partners with libraries and library organizations on special projects. If you have a library professional development need or opportunity and would like to work with Infopeople, please contact our training coordinator Linda Hofschire at linda(at)infopeople.org. To spark some ideas, here are just a few of the services we can provide for you.
Custom Course Offerings
Is there a learning event that you would like to offer for your staff, but you don't see it on the current Infopeople planned training calendar? We are happy to work on custom offerings just for you and your team! Infopeople will work with your organization and our course instructor to ensure that the content, timing, delivery format and exercises are geared specifically to meet the needs of your learners.
Instructional Design Services
Do you have existing content that you want to turn into an effective learning resource? Infopeople's team of instructional designers and technical support can help. For example, you may have a lot of new employee orientation materials, but they are dated, disorganized and not well designed. Infopeople to the rescue! We helped the Nevada State Library turn their PDF training manual into an online course for Trustees. We also worked with the Pushing the Limits grant to turn their community engagement curriculum into easy to use self-paced modules, expanding the audience and reach for this important content on climate change.
Do you have a subject matter expert (or experts) with experience and knowledge to share, but need help shaping their expertise into an interactive online course or webinar? We do that all the time! We frequently work with subject matter experts who have never created or delivered an online course or webinar. However, we use our years of online course development and delivery experience with a proven team development process to create effective online learning opportunities.
We can also help if you are looking for a subject matter expert. For years we have made it our practice to search high and low to identify and vet our own instructors and we're proud of them!. Our instructors enjoy working with Infopeople because we allow them to focus on their expertise while we provide a support team for the development and delivery of their content.
Training Needs and Learning Culture Assessments and Plans
Do you know what the priority staff training needs are in your library and what formats and methods will help address those needs? Infopeople can work with you to customize a training needs assessment and create a unique plan for addressing the identified needs. For example, we worked with the Oregon State Library to assess priority training needs for staff in libraries throughout their state.
If you want to look at the bigger picture, we also can help assess the health of your learning culture. What are the strengths of your library or organization’s current staff learning? How could it be improved? We use our Building an Effective Learning Culture resources for this assessment and then customize to your needs.
These are only a few examples of the projects and services we can provide. If you need expertise related to library continuing education, professional development and learning, we would love to hear from you. Send Linda an email to start the conversation!
Webinar Production
Infopeople has years of experience in webinar production and currently uses Zoom Webinars as its webinar hosting platform. Webinar production services include live event support, pre- and post-production activities including material preparation and promotion and archiving of recorded content. You can view our extensive webinar archives here.
