Erica Fortescue serves as Associate Director of Innovative Learning for the Center for Childhood Creativity at the Bay Area Discovery Museum.  In this role, she and her colleagues pursue a mission of igniting and advancing creative thinking for all children. Erica has nearly twenty years of experience directing STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math), College Access, and out-of-school time learning programs and in building meaningful collaborations between underserved communities, museums and research universities. In addition to developing educator training programs, she advises Fortune 100 companies on product and media development strategies and speaks on the topics of creativity and innovative learning at national conferences. 

Erica holds a B.A. in Comparative Literature from Brown University and a dual master's degree from the Stanford School of Education, with a focus on Policy Analysis, Curriculum and Teacher Education.  She lives with her husband and two sons in Corte Madera, California.  When not at home or at work she can often be found at the local library.
