Kristin Peers has been the Young Adult Librarian at the Porter Ranch Branch of the Los Angeles Public Library for 24 years. She is an Emerging Leaders Class of 2022 participant through American Library Association. Her passion for nature and science has propelled her to implement Neighborhood Science programs that teaches children and young adults the interconnected aspects of biodiversity, providing an understanding of our environment, the tools needed to make observations and gather data, which in turn help our scientists determine the changes that are happening to our planet over a long period of time.
