Laura is the California State Library’s Broadband Program Manager and State E-rate Coordinator for Libraries. With over 20 years E-rate experience as both an applicant and consultant, she brings a wealth of knowledge and experience about the Universal Service Administrative Company’s (USAC) program administration. She has served as an IT Director, IT Project Manager, and E-rate consultant in both rural and urban areas throughout California. Among her favorite projects are starting a 1:1 program for 3200 students in a rural K12 school district in the Central Valley and in 2009 connecting all 120 school and admin sites to high speed broadband (10Gbps) at San Francisco Unified at a time when most locations had less than residential dial up speeds to serve its students and staff.
