Patty Alvarado is the Adult Librarian at the Benjamin Franklin Branch of the Los Angeles Public Library. She is a 2021-22 Emerging California Library Leaders (ECLL) participant through the California Library Association. Patty is an amateur birder and a California native plant and western monarch habitat advocate. Her interest in all things science and involvement in the Neighborhood Science Committee has allowed Patty to connect her community to nature in the globally recognized hotspot for biodiversity that is Los Angeles.
