Susan Stuart Clark founded the Common Knowledge Group to work with libraries, cities, counties, foundations and multi-sector collaboratives to develop pioneering projects in non-partisan civic education and inclusive community engagement. Many California libraries know her work from the long popular Easy Voter Guide Project as well as the more recent Libraries Lead the Way community engagement and facilitation skills training. Susan’s expertise as a facilitator and trainer of multiple types of group process has led to her role an as active board member of the National Coalition for Dialogue and Deliberation (with a network of over 32,000). She also serves as a research deputy with Kettering Foundation and as an advisor to Code for America.
