Library Evaluation for Grant Writers and Others
An Infopeople Webinar
Presenter: Jennifer Sweeney
Evaluation is something you do when you're done with a program, right? Wrong! Evaluation should be a part of the entire grant process, from planning and writing the proposal, to ongoing program improvement, and finally assessment after-the-fact. Evaluation especially needs to be part of your thinking while you are planning your project and writing your grant. The process is also applicable and useful for evaluating library programs when writing general reports and creating other documentation.
Those attending the webinar will:
- Know how to conceptualize a project using a logic model
- Identify key evaluation points
- Understand how to develop evaluation questions and measurable outcomes
- Learn simple data analysis techniques
- Have completed one sample program evaluation plan
This one-hour webinar will be of interest to library directors, managers and staff who are involved with (or plan to be involved with) writing grant proposals and implementing grant-funded programs, and those responsible for writing reports evaluating library programs and activities.
